Explore PMA Through “The Impressionist’s Eye”
This spring the Philadelphia Museum of Art compliments it’s already superb permanent collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings with the arrival of The Impressionist’s Eye, a temporary exhibition that runs April 16-August 18.
Join Wayne Art Center on Wednesday, June 5 as we venture to PMA for a docent tour of The Impressionist’s Eye, a rare collection of sculpture, painting and works on paper from Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, and Vincent van Gogh. Together we will learn more about their enduring mark on the Impressionist movement and how this tight-knit group of artists, who are best known as oil painters, moved fluidly from one medium to another, supporting and inspiring one another. Following the tour, we will enjoy lunch at Stir, the museum’s new restaurant designed by Frank Gehry.
